Baritone Andrew Greenwood, who performed Figaro in Burnaby Lyric Opera's 2003 The Barber of Seville, returns to perform the romantic lead as Danilo.
Andrew's recent Canadian operatic performances include: the role of Marcello in the 2005 Okanagan Vocal Arts Festival's production of La Bohème, and again for Vancouver Island Opera this Fall; a guest appearance with UBC Opera in the title role of Eugene Onegin; Angelotti in Tosca for Pacific Opera Victoria; the roles of Prince Yamadori and The Imperial Commissioner in Madama Butterfly for Vancouver Opera; the roles of Morales and El Dancaïro in Carmen, for Pacific Opera Victoria.
European credits include Escamillo in Carmen and Germont in La Traviata at the Prague State Opera; the role of John Proctor in The Crucible, by Robert Ward at the City Theatre of Usti nad Labem in the Czech Republic; Marcello in La Bohème for Opera Studio de Genève, Switzerland, and The Ferryman in Benjamin Britten's Curlew River in Lausanne, Switzerland and Cuenca, Spain.
Upcoming engagements include the role Monterone in Rigoletto for Pacific Opera Victoria and the role of Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro for the 2006 Okanagan Vocal Arts Festival.
